[Restaurant Review] Manchester date night time time at Erst, Ancoats — Lucie Loves

Let me introduce you to Erst, Manchester….

Now this little Manchester gem on the nook of Murray Avenue has been on my “should eat” checklist ever since I moved again to the North West — and it didn’t disappoint!

Touted as a ‘Pure Wine Bar and seasonal small plates restaurant” — Erst’s fashionable but industrial-style presents diners a purpose to return repeatedly. With an ever-changing menu of mouth -watering, deliciously ready dishes, cool AF vibes (excellent for a romantic date night time), the beautiful crew make you’re feeling heat and effectively hosted.

It’s trendy however laid-back, superbly ambient and residential to a veritable choice of very scrumptious pure wines — I kinda want I hadn’t pushed in and will attempt extra of them! However the garnacha I did attempt was bloomin’ beautiful!

What we ordered (they advisable 5-6 small plates between two folks):

~ grilled flatbread, beef fats, Urfa chilli

~ beetroot, ajo blanco & inexperienced chilli

~ Parisian gnocchi, courgette & wild garlic

~ lamb stomach skewer & date

~ onglet & borderlaise

Dessert (to share):

~ Panna cotta & prunes in monbazar

What we drank:

🍷 Wine: Azul y Garanza, Naturaleza Salvaje Garnacha 2021

Worth-wise, it’s the higher finish of your finances. Approx. £100 for two ppl — so an actual deal with, however value each penny!

Do I like to recommend it? Hell sure! For those who love attempting new eating places, and are completely satisfied to maintain your thoughts, mouth & pockets open to new issues, then Erst is for you! Word: reserving is suggested as this award-winning little gaff will get booked up fairly rapidly! For those who’re after a desk, attempt early-mid week!
